Update 4: November 2011
The fourth update of the year brings a host of new content and functionality:
NEW CONTENT
- Nine new articles for the Online Exclusives section of the Berg Encyclopedia of World Dress and Fashion

NEW FUNCTIONALITY
- Direct linking through to third-party hosted journal content using an OpenURL resolver
- Activation of external links to Oxford Art Online for subscribers on SAMS as “Grove Art” (as well as “Oxford Art Online”)
- Internal links from V&A images to articles on individual designers in the A to Z of Fashion
Update 3: September 2011
Berg has partnered with the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York to bring 2000+ images from the internationally renowned Costume Institute’s collection to be available through the Berg Fashion Library. 500 images are now live on the site. The third update brings:

Update 2: May 2011
Classic and Modern Writings on Fashion: the second upate to the Berg Fashion Library sees the addition of 67 seminal essays on fashion. Together they form the foundations of fashion theory and methodology and are essential for scholarly research on fashion, dress and costume. Subscribers can link through to these classics here or through the browse function, while non-subscribers can view the full list here.
Update 1: March 2011
The first update of the Berg Fashion Library brings a selection of over 800 new images to Berg Fashion Library, adding to the vast image bank that already contains c.4000 images, including images derived from the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Berg Encyclopedia of World Dress and Fashion.
- 600 images from MoMu Fashion Museum, Belgium
- 230 sample images, from collections including the London College of Fashion and The Museum at FIT
Along with this wonderful new content, the update also allows links from Berg Fashion Library to Berg Fashion E-Journals. This enables subscribers of both products to seamlessly jump to journal content from the Berg Fashion Library. Journals now linked to the Berg Fashion Library are:
